Agitators
All Lee agitators feature a unique offset frame construction which brings the points of the scrapers to the centerline. This ensures uniform scraping action throughout the entire processing cycle. Lee agitators also offer sanitary advantages and an opportunity to reduce operating costs because they do not have to be removed and broken down for cleaning. Lee agitators are available in various standard styles and sizes and Lee takes pride in its ability to design and manufacture agitators to meet special requirements. Lee engineers are always available for consultation and they will work with you to any extent required to meet your needs.
Lee Agitator Features:
- Exclusive centerline scraper assembly assures uniform scraping and complete mixing
- Scrapers are hinged to the frame above the back of the center at a steep pitch, moving heated product film continuously towards center of kettle
- Option of fixed or variable speed, electric or hydraulic motors
- Agitator drive mounted in a heavy stainless steel channel with special lip seal to prevent leakage
- Choice of hydraulic cylinders for easy tilt-out
- USDA approved scraper blades available in a choice of quality materials including molded nylon, Teflon® and nickel alloy castings
- Fully-enclosed gear box with heavy duty gears assures reliability and long life
- Lee assembles, tests and runs all agitator assemblies before shipment
- Standard agitator speed 25 RPM, other speeds available upon request
- All scraped surface agitators can be installed at an incline

- Dual agitator with anchor-style agitator combined with pitched blade secondary mixer
- Anchor-style scrapes side walls and swirls product toward secondary mixer for complete agitation

- Double-motion agitator with scraper blades and counter rotating shaft with agitator bars
- Independent center mounted high-shear mixer
- High-shear mixer runs at 3,450 or 1,725 RPM
Turbine Style
- Independent drives on high-intensity double-motion agitator with scraper blades
- Adjustable 4-blade pitched turbines on inner construction
- Incorporates batch turnover capability of turbine mixer with efficient agitation of counter-rotating agitator
